A contemporary townhouse garden in Carlisle overlooking the racecourse, designed using black metal raised planting beds and gravel pathways to introduce structure, movement and seasonal planting within a compact space. Layers of colourful perennials, ornamental grasses, sensory herbs, spring bulbs and architectural shrubs are combined with a focal multi-stemmed Tibetan Cherry, while a corten steel water bowl creates a reflective feature within the central planting bed. The result is a relaxed and immersive garden designed to soften the modern architecture and be enjoyed from both inside and out.
